Daniel Carunchio & Hsiao-Han Yang, piano four-hands

A Dance for Four Hands

Pianists Daniel Carunchio and Hsiao-Han "Alice" Yang explore the spirit of dance through music for piano four-hands. Their program pairs selections from Johannes Brahms's spirited, folk-inspired Hungarian Dances with movements from Samuel Barber's Souvenirs, a nostalgic suite that evokes the dances of an earlier era. Together, these works reveal the remarkable range of the four-hands repertoire — from rhythmic vitality and exuberance to elegance, wit, and wistful reflection.
