New Consort: Return/Revive

New Consort Promo 1.jpg

Overview

The New Consort, one of America’s most exciting new vocal chamber ensembles, will present their new program, RETURN/REVIVE - a meditation on grief, hope, and community in these mercurial times. The concert is structured around two major works: the Lamentations of Robert White, a remarkable contemporary of Tallis and Byrd who was lost to the Black Death at just 36 years old; and a world premiere by ensemble member Jonathan Woody that celebrates our ability to transform adversity into hope and joy, which has been awarded Chamber Music America’s Classical Commissioning Grant to support its creation.

Concert at First & Central Presbyterian Church, 1101 N Market Street, Wilmington

Adults: $25 online / $30 at the door
