The stars of OperaDelaware’s critically acclaimed fall production of Tosca present a thrilling reprise with string quartet and piano. Featuring tenor John Pickle, baritone Steven Condy, and soprano Emily Margevich, this powerhouse cast is joined by players from the OperaDelaware Orchestra led by the incomparable pianist and collaborator, Husan Chun‑Novak.
Tosca Portraits is an excerpt from a larger project and innovative partnership. Puccini Portraits was an idea created by Brad Clark (friend, supporter, and artistic partner of both OperaDelaware and Opera Baltimore) and Husan Chun Novak. Presenting excerpts of Puccini’s most famous operas chamber-style, this served as an innovative audience preview tool as the artists were preparing to offer a full production of Tosca. The process yielded incredible artistic dividends, giving the three principal artists time to build trust and share musical ideas prior to rehearsals for the staged production.
